Boy Crib Bedding And Crib Bedding For Girls

By Darren Hartley

An essential part of the nursery of a baby boy is the boy crib bedding. The variety of colors, patterns and styles in which crib bedding is available today is nearly endless. Ranging from budget to luxury and from classic to ultra-trendy, the perfect crib bedding is that one which is able to give the look the parents desire in the nursery.

Classic boy crib bedding come in packages or in separates. Packages normally consist of a crib sheet, a comforter and a crib bumper pad. Some sets add a crib ruffle and other accessories such as diaper stackers and crib mobiles as well. The main advantage of separates is their allowance of parents to buy only the pieces they want their baby to have. Some parents do not want to use crib bumpers because of the safety concerns against them while other parents feel that babies do not really need a comforter.

Whether a little or a lot is spent on boy crib bedding, the important thing is that the chosen crib bedding must be very soft to the touch of the skin of the baby. For the purpose, knit cotton sheets, flannel crib sheets and higher thread-count woven cottons are most popular.

A consideration in the selection of baby bedding for girls is their being made up of a fabric that is easily washable, preferably in a machine. Hand-washing and spot-treating are not activities parents want to engage in for the many messes that babies are expected to make.

Just as crib mattress sizes come in a great variety, so do baby bedding for girls. The assurance that the baby bedding is of the right size before washing them for the arrival of the baby, is a necessary task for the parents.

Parents will be unable to exchange the baby bedding for girls for the right size, should they find the bedding to be slightly larger or smaller than the crib mattress after it has been washed. For the safety of the baby, parents should realize that the crib bedding must fit the crib mattress to a T.
