Raising Confident, Healthy Kids - Exploring Fitness Activity Options

http://mykids-health.blogspot.com/

Let's be honest, nobody wants to raise an overweight child. All my life I've tried to live a relatively healthy lifestyle. My parents always gave me the opportunity to play multiple sports growing up. There was soccer, baseball, basketball, golf and football (a brief stint as kicker for my high school football team:), not to mention all of the daily activities in and around my neighborhood. It seems like I was always on the go. As an incredibly fortunate kid growing up in a neighborhood with a lot of kids my age (and a brother), there was always a pickup game to play, forts to build, hikes through the woods and of course my BMX bike got it's hefty share of use riding around causing trouble with the other neighborhood kids. Continue reading...

It may not have been a conscious decision to try and stay healthy, but these activities always led to such a lifestyle. Why is it then, that it seems like kids these days don't take advantage of life's free outdoor activities like you and I did growing up? Sure, I had Nintendo (the original one of course), but that was often played in the evening and my time on it was usually limited by my parents.

It's my strong opinion that kids nowadays need to get out of the house and be more active. These statements are probably making me sound like a grownup, but as I creep into the age of adulthood and parenthood, this topic has become ever-present.

Having children that are active in sports or some type of physical activity that promotes a healthy lifestyle will be a top priority of mine and should be with yours. The importance of  physical activities even reach beyond physical health concerns and into mental and social betterment as well. As a soccer instructor for Charlie Cooke Soccer School (Coerver Coaching) at Kids First Sports Center, I coach classes of kids ages 3-12, six days a week. I'm able to get a first-hand experience with the positive mental and social aspects that sports activities can bring to children. At the beginning of a 9 week session, it's a given that 2 or 3 kids will have trouble participating, let alone even step onto the field without shedding a few tears. The 3 year olds often want to stay attached to their parents leg, and 4-6 year olds would rather stand at the entrance to the field and watch than try to participate in an activity that's new to them. It's uncomfortable to leave the comfort zone of what you know, that will never change for these kids and is often played out in adulthood. By urging the kids to try something, even if it means shedding some tears or screaming and flopping on the floor, your teaching your child that it's okay to be uncomfortable and that often good things can come out of trying something new.

Confidence plays such a huge roll in people's lives, successes and even failures (sometimes caused by overconfidence). Like a school teacher, my biggest satisfaction (other than seeing kids having fun with fitness) at my job is watching the kids self-confidence grow as they learn new skills and develop not only as a player, but as a human-being. That same kid who cries in fear or distances themselves from the class on the first day, typically has a break-through session by week 3 or 4. Once they break through that uncomfortable/unsure feeling, the children typically flourish.  I don't have a child of my own yet (until Sept. 14th 2011), but I can firmly say (and I'm sure there is research to back this up) that the child's self-confidence that was bolstered on the field (or even in the classroom) is translated into everyday life and carried with them through adulthood. Obviously, some children require more attention and positive reinforcement than others, but all in all, the results are same.

Flying With Kids: Ways To Make It Easier

Nothing can be more fun than a family vacation. And nothing can get you there quicker than a plane. But, the trip can feel a lot longer than it really is if you are traveling by plane with kids and you aren't prepared. Being prepared means packing the right things and having the right ideas to do before and during flight. But, it also starts even before you book the flight.

You want to find the right airline that will be most family friendly and most kid friendly. First of all, if you have a baby, you have a couple options for seating, depending on the airline and how you prefer to travel. If you hold the baby on your lap during the flight, you will not have to purchase an additional seat. Or you have the option of bringing their car seat on the plane. The advantage of this is, if your baby or young child is already used to and enjoys riding in their car seat in the car, this will provide them something familiar. For those toddlers who have a hard time sitting still, if they are already used to sitting and staying in a car seat in a car, having it on the plane may be to your benefit, whereas a plane seat may feel like more freedom and make it harder for them to want to sit still. However, if you do not prefer to use a car seat on the plane, but you will be needing it at your destination, such as in a rental car when you arrive, be sure to find those airlines that will let you check in your car seat as luggage for no additional cost. I always prefer to book airlines that don't charge you extra for luggage anyway.

Another thing to consider when finding the right airline to fly on is to look for those that sometimes offer activity books and crayons to kids, will sometimes give the kids a quick tour of the cockpit before the flight, and are happy to offer additional snacks to kids. Some airlines are simply more kid or family friendly than others. For long flights that serve a full meal, certain airlines even have the policy of serving kids first. Also, look for those airlines that let you check in online the evening before and also offer early seating for families with young children.

Once you've found a suitable airline to meet your need, consider what time of day may be best for you to fly. Some recommend early flights to avoid delays that sometimes happen with flights throughout the day. But, another thing to consider in regards to choosing the timing of your flight is that you may wish to book the flight at a time where your child usually naps or rests. If your children are pretty regular on their sleep schedules, then you can guarantee that they will at least get some rest time on the plane.
But, for those times they are awake, kids have a lot of energy. And you'll want to get that energy out while you have the chance. So, don't use that time that you are waiting in the airport just sitting around. Take the kids to walk around and explore, make up some fun games, get out the energy that you can before they have to sit still on the plane. When you are allowed up in the plane, you may be able to walk up and down the aisle with them a little bit. But, definitely try to get them up and moving before boarding the plane. Also, use the restroom as much as you can before the flight, especially if you have children who are potty training and have a harder time waiting.

You may want to consider prepping your kids ahead of time for the trip. You can always go visit an airport if you've never been or read some book on planes and airports. You can talk to them about what kind of things they'll see and what will happen in the airport and on the flight. Not only will it ease any uncertainties they may have, it may make it more exciting for them if you make it sound exciting.

For the trip through the airport, you may want to plan ahead of time as well. When you have kids, you already have enough to worry about and hold onto, along with anything you are taking on the plane, so make going through security as easy as possible. Wear shoes that can slip off and on easily, for the whole family. Also, a small bag for your loose change, wallet, watch, etc. may be a good idea. It'll save you time in the security line by not having to take all of that off and you can just put it all on or in your pockets after security. Traveling through airports with bags is also much easier if you can put things in backpacks. And if your kids are old enough, they can carry their own with all the stuff that will keep them entertained for the flight.

Now, whether you were able to choose your seats ahead of time or not until you got on the plane, try to give your child a window seat if you can. For some kids, that can be entertaining for hours. It's always fun for kids to see how small the towns, buildings, farms, etc. look from all the way up in the air. And also being able to look out and fly right by the clouds that they normally only get to look up and see is exciting.

Now, let's talk about what you should have with you on the flight for the kids. First, I'll discuss the practical things you should pack. The first thing to remember is the air pressure change and how that affects your ears. For babies and children, that is a new and unpleasant feeling. To keep them content during those times of take-off and landing, there's a couple options. For babies, the best thing is to let them have their bottle during that time or a pacifier, anything that can help take that pressure off. Even for young kids, drinking something at that time may help ease their discomfort. Kids may also enjoy chewing gum during this time. Not only will the chewing help with the pressure in the ears, gum is also probably not something they have often so it will be a nice treat and distraction for them. Speaking of snacks and drinks, you may want to pack some of your own, even though they do give snacks and drinks. Consider special snacks they wouldn't normally have that would be exciting. And for the drinks, consider bringing a cup with a lid to avoid those spills. An extra set of clothes is also a practical idea for babies and young kids. You just never know. Wipes are always essential to have as well. They just can be used for so many purposes.

Now we'll talk about the things you want to pack for entertainment. Some planes show movies or have screens on the back of the seats with games or movies. But, if not, having your own device to put movies on for your kids is definitely a great idea. That could be a portable dvd player or your laptop or whatever device you have that you know has this option. If you have multiple kids though, instead of bringing multiple devices, simply purchase a headphone splitter, so they can both listen at the same time. You will need headphones for whatever electronic devices you are bringing. You don't want to disturb those around you with loud movies or loud games. Some other electronic devices you may want to bring are any game devices or a Tag Reader if you have one. Just make sure you have all the batteries you need or the devices are all properly charged ahead of time.

Maybe your kids have favorite books or movies they love to watch again and again. Or maybe they would be excited with something they've never seen before. Consider going to your local library ahead of time and checking out some new books and movies to make the trip more interesting.
Some kids love to draw and color, so again, the airline may hand out kids activity books and crayons or you may bring your own paper or new coloring books. You can even play plenty of games on paper: hang man, tic tac toe, or get creative and make up some games of your own.
As far as toys, there are a couple neat ideas you can do here. The first option is you can get just a few little dollar store toys before your trip, things they have never seen before and surprise your child with them on the flight, maybe even a new one each hour to keep them interested. Or consider bringing some random things that aren't even considered toys. If your children are young enough, they could be fascinated for hours with things like painters tape, aluminum foil, sticky notes, etc. Maybe even give kids their own disposable cameras to take pictures they can develop later.

Something else you can do is create a scavenger hunt of sorts. Create a list of things ahead of time that they need to look out for during the flight and see how long it takes before they find everything. Give them a special treat or prize when they've found everything.

With these tips, your current and future flights can be easy. Once you've made it through once, not only you, but the kids will know how much fun flying can be.

Types Of Kids Activities That Your Kids Will Enjoy

http://mykids-health.blogspot.com/

Kids love to play and have fun during their free time. They love to play their favorite games and discover different things. What do you usually do to keep your kids entertained especially during spring break? Well, if you are thinking of what type of kid's activities you can do this coming spring break, here are some of the most chosen kids' activities that surely your kids will love. These are just a few of the many kids' activities that you can introduce and teach to your kids.

Outdoor Kid's Activities: Most kids love to venture and explore different places and things and to help them do that, you can go for outdoor kids' activities. There are different types of kids' activities that you can do together with your kids. You can start with camping in your backyard. You can pitch a tent and also create a bonfire as if you are really in the middle of the forest. While you are doing that, you can teach your kids about basic survival techniques. You can also go fishing if you live somewhere near a lake or sea. You can also go backpacking, hiking, and biking. That will really be fun. But the most important thing that you need to do before you go to any outdoor activities, you must orient your children of the things they should and shouldn't do for their safety.

Cooking: In case your kids are not into outdoor activities, then you can have an indoor activity and one of those fun indoor kids' activities is cooking. Most kids love to cook especially baking. You can teach your kids how to cook or bake their favorite food. Most kids love cookies. You can start with baking simple cookies. Cookies are one of the easiest recipes to bake. You can set a day each week where you will bake their favorite cookies. Aside from cookies you can also teach them how to bake cup cakes. This could be a great bonding between you and your kids. Your kids will love and trust you more because they know that you are there for them and you are making time for them. Time is very important to kids.

Educational Activities: Another fun activity that your kids can enjoy is an educational kids' activity. You can do a guessing game, math games, coloring books, painting, and board games. There are a lot of educational games that you can play together with your kids. Board games are the best educational game that you can play because they require strategy, techniques, and mind power. You can play word games like scrabbles, word factory and other word games. This will increase and widen their vocabulary. They will learn new words and their meaning.

Aside from those three mentioned above, you might know other fun and enjoyable kids' activities that you think will be suitable to your kids. If this normally happens in your home, your kids will prefer to stay at home than to go outside and play with their friends.

Gift Ideas to Make your Kid Smart

http://mykids-health.blogspot.com/

A kid's eyes shine bright while opening his present. When he sees that his presents are clothes, his bright eyes suddenly turn dim. Kids are not known for hiding their disappointment. But give them a toy as a gift, and you'll see a display of appreciation that could warm the cockles of any gift-giver. It seems that instinctively, kids prefer something that will engage his mind, not just something that will make him look good.

But not all toys or gifts are equal. There are those that engages him for a long time, and those that amuse him for just a few hours, and then forgotten.

Educational gifts get your child's attention for a longer time, as they feed his or her stimulation-hungry.

More importantly, the impact of the best educational gifts lasts a lifetime. These gifts give him a head start in reading, math and science. They develop his love for learning, the most important attitude to make your kid grow up smart. A great educational gift even triggers what will be your kid's lifelong passion.

They develop his love for learning, the most important attitude to make your kid grow up smart. A great educational gift even triggers what will be your kid's lifelong passion.

Because of the internet, you do not have to waste time and energy going through the mall looking for the best educational gifts. You could shop right in your bedroom in your pajamas!

The following are the top 10 educational toy and other unique educational gift ideas that you can find on the internet:

1. Educational Toys
The best toys and gifts are those that make your child learn while he is having fun. This way, learning happens while he plays. And the more he plays, the more he learns! Make sure that the toy you give is appropriate for his age and gender, and that it is safe. Avoid toys that can only be played with one or two ways. The more activities a kid can do with a toy, the better it is. For younger kids, find one that can be opened, closed, twisted, pulled, dragged, formed, changed, preferably all at the same time. For older kids, the best toys are those that stimulate the imagination.

2. Hobby and Science Toys
Brilliant engineers, inventors and mechanics get their beginnings from tinkering with toys when they were kids. Chemists begin by mixing stuff and biologists play with their ant farms.
Hobby Toys help your kid discover his lifetime passion by offering hundreds of educational toys that catches his interest. Examples are science projects, electronic kits, Lego Mindstorms and robot projects, chemistry, biology, anatomy and physics sets.

3. Nature Toys and Pets
Nature toys make your child explore the wonder and mystery of the world around him. These can make him eternally curious and thus be a lifelong learner. Examples are microscopes, telescopes, planetariums, and globes.
Pets are also great gifts. An aquarium can teach your kid about aquatic life, and kittens and puppies can be a great way to introduce your kid to love for animals. Seeds will fascinate your kid when he sees it grow into a plant. Who knows, your kid's appreciation of nature may be key to his being able to help save the planet in the future.

4. Personalized Gifts
Studies show that children learn when their activities are personalized. When they are a character on a book they read, they are fascinated and their minds open up. Personalized books, music, and toys also improve your child's self-confidence and positive view of himself.
Babies and kids will love hearing their OWN name sung in songs, printed in books, built with trains, or just hanging on the wall.

5. Computer Software and Games
The best educational software and fun and entertaining and helps your kid achieve success in school. They help build math, reading, and critical skills, as well as instill confidence, joy and excitement around learning. With the best educational software, your kid will beg to learn!
The best computer games are those that teaches him strategy and problem-solving, and not merely "fragging" the enemy. Although "fragging" the enemy is said to develop hand-eye coordination, some psychologist are concerned that the violent nature of these games can desensitize your child to hurt in others.

6. Magazine Subscriptions
Aside from books, magazines can be a great way to start kids off on a life-long passion for reading. Since magazines feature what is current and up-to-date, it is always interesting to your kid.

7. Puzzles and Board Games
Puzzles and games exercise the brain. And like any part of the body, the more exercise your kid's brain gets, the more powerful and tougher it becomes when faced with challenges. The best puzzles and board games teach your kid how to plan, decide, think and think through a difficulty. Board games, when played with friends or family, enhance social skills. He learns about taking turns, following rules and cooperating with teammates or opponents.

8. Musical Instruments
Many studies have proven that learning music has a profound effect on your kid's brain. Music is shown to increase IQ, improve school grades, and prepare your kid to learn the advanced concepts of math and science.

Most kids are interested in learning to play guitar, the drums, and the keyboard, although they may also want to take up the violin and brass instruments.

9. Educational Videos
Educational videos have proven beneficial to preschool and above kids. (Videos for kids aged 2 and below are more harmful than helpful) Kids who watch informative and educational shows as preschoolers tend to watch more informative and educational shows when they get older. They use TV effectively as a complement to school learning. On the other hand, kids who watch more entertainment program watch fewer informative programs as they get older.
There are educational movies on the internet where kids of the "You Tube" generation not only watch, but also interact for a great learning experience.

10. Books.
This list will not be complete without books! Books are and will always be your kid's brain's best friend. Among other benefits, reading builds the language neural connections in your kid's brain and expands his chain of knowledge.

How to arrange a surprise Kids party?

http://mykids-health.blogspot.com/

Most of the kids will have real hard time in keeping the secret in their kids' party – especially while it is something very good as party.  You will not want to risk slip up at school and on playground.  In place of sending the surprise birthday kids party invitations to kids guests, you can send them to parents.  In this way, you can ensure that your kids' friends will come to party and not risk by blowing the surprise.  Whereas you can have theme for your kids party, you wish to keep this invitation little more subtle.

You do not want to provide any clues to kids with the wagging tongues. It is a good idea to get parents involved, as you may need some help with ‘fake' activity for the guest of honor. When you will need their aid in getting the kids party and keeping this secret, you may want to think of sending actual birthday invitation to parents.  This is one great option to know your kids friend's parents. Their help at party can be critical in case you are expecting large group.

In case you do not want to send any invitations to parents, you may have to consider hiring babysitter to aid you out in kids' party.  You would like to enjoy your kids party, not to be overwhelmed by the partying kids. When your kid's party guest-of-honor is out of house get your kid guests to help to decorate.  Make special note on birthday invitation you would like help with decorations and soon you will have all help you require in your kids party.  You can as well enlist help of parents & teachers while thinking of the theme for your kids' party.  Once your house is decorated; you will need to close drapes on windows, so guest of honor does not see unless they have entered your house.

A kid's Guide to Shots

http://mykids-health.blogspot.com/

Nobody likes getting a shot. They can hurt, and it's weird knowing that the nurse is about to jab you with that needle.
But shots called vaccinations keep you from getting some serious diseases. These diseases could make you very sick. The pinch of a shot isn't nearly as bad as those illnesses.

Making Antibodies

Shots protect you by giving you only a tiny piece of a disease-causing germ or by giving you a version of the germ that is dead or very weak. Giving a whole germ that's alive would give you a disease (like measles or chickenpox).

But giving only this tiny, weakened, or dead part of the germ does not give you the disease. Instead, just the opposite happens. Your body responds to the vaccine by making antibodies. These antibodies are part of your immune system, and they can fight the disease if you ever come in contact with that nasty germ.
When your body is protected from a disease in this way, it's called being immune to an illness. It can't get you.

In most cases, it means you won't get the illness at all. But sometimes, you can still get a mild case of the illness. This can happen with chickenpox. Even kids who get the shot to prevent chickenpox can still get a case of it. The good news is that they usually don't get a very bad case of it. Milder cases mean fewer spots and less itching.

Shots are given by injection with a needle. A syringe (say: suh-rinj) holds the liquid vaccine, and the needle has a hole in it for the liquid to squirt through. Shots are usually given in your arm or sometimes your thigh.

First Shots

The good news is that kids get a lot of the shots they need by age 2. So if you're old enough to read this article, you've already had most of your shots! After that, a kid doesn't need many more.
There are a few shots given when kids are between the ages of 4 and 6 years. The next set of shots isn't usually until kids are about 11 or 12 years old.
Most kids should have a flu vaccine each year. Some kids will get it as a shot, and some will get it with a spray in the nose.

Why Do Kids Need Shots?

Shots are great for individual kids because it means that they won't get those serious diseases. But shots are great for the health of the country and world, too. How? When almost all kids have received these shots, it means that these illnesses don't have much of a chance to make anyone sick.
Because most kids in the United States get all their shots, you rarely meet anyone who has had diseases like measles or mumps. Your mom or dad has probably had to show your school that you've had all your shots. Schools and camps do this because they don't want the kids spreading or catching serious illnesses.

My Aching Arm!

OK, it's true. Getting a shot can hurt a little. But the pain usually comes and goes pretty quickly. If you cry, don't worry about it. Lots of kids do.

To make shots easier to take, try bringing your favorite teddy bear or asking your mom or dad to hold your hand while you're getting a shot. Afterward, you may even get a little treat if you're brave! Maybe your doctor gives out stickers or your mom and dad will take you to the playground.

Sometimes after a shot, your arm will hurt, look red, or have a small bump where the needle went in. You also could have a fever. Your mom or dad can talk to the doctor about any problems you have.

Usually, the pain goes away quickly or after you take some pain reliever, like acetaminophen or ibuprofen.
It's OK if you don't like shots, but remember that they are your best shot at staying healthy!

26 Fun Activities for Kids to Enjoy

http://mykids-health.blogspot.com/

Kids love to play outdoors and we love to see them have fun, right? But playing the same outdoor game again and again can be boring to your kids so you have to be a little creative. Actually, with just a little imagination you can create hundreds of ways of having fun outdoors. Here I'll share to you some of the fun activities for kids that you'll surely enjoy playing with your kids.

Obstacle Race
Nothing can be more fun than to watch your toddler go through your homemade obstacle course. This is surely one of those activities for kids that can make you laugh. And I'm sure your little one will enjoy crawling through a big box, walking along a rope, and stepping onto old clothes.

Old Time Favorites
Century old games such as, What's the Time, Mr Wolf? Simon Says, and Ring-a-Ring-a-Rosie are still fun to play. Remember those days when you were playing them with your neighbors? A lot of things must have changed around the neighborhood, but these remain as some of the favorite activities for kids.

Have Some Exercise
Another one of those fun activities for kids is strolling. Instead of driving to a mini-store to get some bread or milk, why not stroll with your kids? What makes this activity even better for kids is when you act as spies as you walk. Check out the leaves, the local cats, and the snails as you go.

A Work of Art
While strolling to the shops, make sure you ask your kids to collect some simple treasures—like leaves and feathers, which you can use later on to do some simple collage. Give them a piece of paper to be the base of their collage. Then using glue let them stick all their collections onto the paper as artistically as they can. I'm sure your little ones will crave for more of these activities for kids.

Go Treasure Hunting
Make a list of treasures for your kids to find. Then head your small team of treasure hunters out into the local neighbourhood and find the items on the list. After playing this, I'm sure you'll agree that this is indeed one of those fun activities for kids.

Write All You Can
Let your little ones write on any piece of concrete using a jumbo-sized chalk. Like the other activities for kids that I've shared, this one can occupy them even for ages.

Splatter on the Puddle
Next time it rains, look for raincoats, gumboots and umbrellas. Play with your kids in the rain and splatter through puddles. This is one of the outdoor activities for kids that they won't forget.

Fun Ride
Lead a team of bikers onto paths with a mild slope. When you return, your kids will have fun trekking on Mount Everest.

Finder's Keeper
Another fun game to play with your child is to look for simple items in the garden such as three black stones, five yellow leaves, etc as quickly as they can.

Spraying Spree
Hand a plastic spray bottle filled with water to your little one. Then ask him to spray each and every plant in your garden. This is not just one of those enjoyable activities for kids, but this is also good for your plants.

Go Green
Watching plants grow and produce flowers is probably one of the best activities for kids.  This is activity can be a combination of fun and learning.

Indiana Jones
Spend some time hiding some tiny treasures, such as candies and toys, around the garden. Then organise your kids to go treasure hunting.

Tea Party
Organize a tea party for your little guests using just a tea set and a small table. Let them have fun as you serve them with some biscuits and water.

Fun Ride at the Park
Bike parks are great places to do some fun activities for kids. This is also a safe place for them to master their biking skills.

Take a Ferryboat
Being out on the water will definitely bring joy to your little ones, and to you, too.

Bushwalking
No kid would miss the chance of going for a bushwalk. What makes bushwalking as one of the favorite activities for kids is that it's a good time for them to get dirty as they roam freely and 'talk' with beetles and flowers.

Fly A Kite
Flying a kite is fun. And did you know that activities for kids can be a whole lot better if you make it more personalized? Here's how: Cut a cardboard into a diamond shape, put on some decorations, make a hole in one end and then attach a long piece of wool through it. Let your toddler have fun running with a kite flying behind her.

Mini-Olympics
This is surely one of those activities for kids that are simple and fun. All you need to do is set up a simple course at the playground for your kids. Ask them to go through it while timing them. Brace yourself as you watch them beat their own record in every lap.

Catch Games
Should you're toddler be a beginner in aerial catches, start by training her roll the ball. When she's already used to it, you can already bounce the ball towards her. Then try gentle throws until she becomes an expert in catching balls.

Sail A Boat
One of the best activities for kids is that of sailing a boat, even with just a model one. Make it in your own house with materials such as paddle-pop sticks, polystyrene foam ice cream containers, or paper. Design your own boat as uniquely as you can. Then take it to a backyard pool or a pond. Have fun sailing!

Paint with water
Give each kid a paintbrush and a container of water and let him paint anything on the back fence and trees. These are great activities for kids that encourage their creativity.

Colourful Waterplay
Now here's one of those activities for kids that is fun but a bit messy so kids must play it outdoor with an apron. Head outside with bottles of water and a variety of food colorings. Then let your kids mix and match the colors until everyone has the same uniform color in each bottle.

Bookworms
If you're thinking of activities for kids that are not only fun but also enriching, then consider reading books to them. And yes, books aren't just read in your bedroom. A shaded part in your yard can be a perfect place to enjoy a book with your child. Spread a rug and take out those books.

Be Sandy
Let your little ones go wild in their imagination by making anything such as pizza, cake and even castles using sands. Just supply them with small buckets, your old kitchen utensils, and biscuit cutters. This is indeed one of those activities for kids that can bring out the best in them.

Hidey-Hole
And when you think you're running out of ideas of fun activities for kids, here's one you should really try make an outdoor home using a sheet and some chairs.

Let Your Young Artist Shine
Make the most out of a sunny day, by setting a table outside. Next, arrange an easel, spread the crayons, the glitter glue and encourage your kids to be crafty.

My list of fun activities for kids ends here. Actually, the list can be endless if you just add your own activities in this list or even make your own variations. What is most important is that you and your kids will have fun!
